Barnstable Silver Alert Program

The Silver Alert Program was created in 2010 to provide support to family members caring for adults afflicted with serious memory impairments such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease who are “At Risk” for wandering.  “At Risk” includes persons with memory impairment, mental/ behavioral health concerns and/or other health issues which may impair ability or judgment capabilities.   The Barnstable Silver Alert Program provides the Barnstable Police Department with vital information about potential “At Risk” residents in the Town who may wander, or have the potential for getting lost.

The Barnstable Silver Alert Program is a partnership between the Town of Barnstable Police Department and the Barnstable Adult Community Center/Barnstable Council on Aging.
To participate in the Barnstable Silver Alert Program please complete the attached registration form and provide a current photo of the registrant.  This personal and medical information will be entered into a confidential database at the Barnstable Police Department and will be utilized in a recovery plan should the need arise.  Having this key data will reduce police response time, and in turn, may save lives.
If you are unable to come to the Barnstable Police Department in person please call and we can make alternate arrangements.

If you have any questions please contact Danielle Paradis @ 508-778-3830 or 779@barnstablepolice.com.  Thank you.

If there is a LOST or MISSING person, immediately call 911
